Video Wall Rentals Javits Center
Video Wall Rentals Javits Center
NYC Productions supplies LED video wall rentals for exhibitors, trade show contractors, and event producers working at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. We have been building booth and general session displays across the New York tri-state area since 2005, and we handle delivery, build, on-site tech, and strike so your team can focus on the show.
Not the venue’s in-house provider. We are an independent AV vendor serving exhibitors at Javits.
Ground-Supported Video Wall Rentals for Javits Center Booths
Most exhibitors do not need rigging. Our LED walls build on free-standing ground support with steel base plates, so your display goes up inside your booth footprint without hanging points, motors, or overhead work. That removes the single largest variable from an exhibitor AV budget at a convention center.
We also build dual-sided walls, two faces back to back inside a single enclosure, so your content reads from both aisles instead of only from the front of the booth.
Booth Sizing for LED Video Wall Rentals at the Javits Center
| Booth size | Typical wall | Viewing distance | Recommended pitch |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10′ x 10′ | Approx. 6′ wide x 4′ high | 3-8 ft | P1.9 |
| 10′ x 20′ | Approx. 10′ wide x 5′ high | 4-12 ft | P1.9 – P2.6 |
| 20′ x 20′ | Approx. 14′ wide x 8′ high, or dual-sided | 6-20 ft | P2.6 – P3.9 |
Booth attendees stand close. At three to eight feet, a coarse pitch shows its pixel structure and the display looks cheap. Our fine-pitch inventory is built for that distance, which is why it reads clean in a 10 x 10 rather than only from across the hall.
Load-In and Logistics at the Javits Center
A video wall is only as good as your ability to get it onto the floor and standing before doors open. The Javits Center publishes facility specifications that determine what is actually buildable in a booth, and a handful of them drive every decision we make on a Javits job.
Floor Load Capacity
Javits exhibit hall floors are rated at 350 pounds per square foot. A ground-supported LED wall standing on 18″ x 18″ steel base plates spreads its load well inside that rating, which is what makes free-standing construction practical instead of hanging the wall overhead. For a standard booth build, the floor is not the limiting factor.
Ceiling Height Varies by Hall
Javits halls are not interchangeable, and wall height planning starts with knowing which one you are in. Hall 1E has a 16 foot 9 inch ceiling. Hall 1D runs variable between 18 feet and 21 feet 6 inches. Hall 3E opens to 33 feet at the space frame across 119,000 square feet of floor. The River Pavilion reaches 45 feet. Confirm your hall assignment before committing to a wall height, because a design that works comfortably in 3E may not clear in 1E.
Booth Height Limits Come From Show Management
In practice the ceiling is rarely what caps your wall. Most shows limit inline and peninsula booths to eight feet and island booths to twenty feet, with anything above the drape line requiring written approval. Those limits are set by show management rather than the venue, so your exhibitor services manual is the authority on your specific show. We size walls against that number, not against the hall ceiling.
Freight, Docks, and Marshaling
Javits operates 74 covered loading docks, a multi-level truck marshaling facility, and drive-in ramps serving each exhibit floor. Freight deliveries are booked in advance through the Javits Center logistics platform, and carriers check into marshaling before being dispatched to a dock rather than driving straight to the building. Only the show’s general contractor can assign a dock or a marshaling position. Trucks that miss their marshaling window can be turned away for the day, which is the most common way an exhibitor loses a load-in.
Union Labor and Material Handling
Javits is a union house. Carpenters, electricians, freight handlers, and cleaning crews are union-represented, and material handling is exclusive to the show’s general contractor, which changes from show to show. Those charges are real and they belong in your budget from the start rather than arriving as a surprise on the final invoice. We plan our builds around what an exhibitor can do directly and what has to route through house labor.
How We Work a Javits Show
Our crew is typically on the floor two days before doors open. That gives us a full day to build and align the wall and a second day for content loading, color matching, and a dry run before the floor gets busy. The split between our crew and house labor varies from show to show, since each general contractor sets its own jurisdiction, so we confirm that arrangement against your exhibitor services manual during planning rather than discovering it on site.

Frequently Asked Questions About Video Wall Rentals at the Javits Center
Do I need rigging for an LED video wall at the Javits Center?
Not for a standard booth build. Our walls are ground-supported and stand on their own base plates within your booth footprint, so you avoid hanging points and overhead labor entirely.
How tall can my video wall be?
Usually eight feet for an inline or peninsula booth and up to twenty feet for an island, but the exact limit comes from your show’s exhibitor services manual rather than from the venue.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as you have your booth assignment. The timing is usually driven by the show’s calendar rather than ours, since the targeted freight date, the general contractor’s order deadlines, and discount pricing windows all close well before move-in. Send us your show and booth number and we will tell you what is still achievable.
When does your crew arrive?
Typically two days before the show opens, which leaves a day to build and align and a day for content and a dry run.
Can you match a specific booth width?
Yes. Panels build in modular increments, so we size the wall to your booth drawing rather than to a fixed catalog size.
Do you provide an on-site technician?
Yes. A tech stays with the wall through show hours and handles strike.
